  "We worked with Gretchen to purchase our Berkeley home in December 2015 and can comfortably say Gretchen is a dream agent! During the search for our first home she literally: crawled into a tiny crawl space to inspect a foundation; and brought a full-size ladder to a house so that she could look into an attic (found a massive opening in a roof - didn't buy that one!); and scoured the local permit office for documents without us (revealing some undisclosed restrictions). Throughout the exhausting, and sometimes very frustrating process of buying a home in the East Bay, Gretchen was a pleasure to work with. She has a very good sense of the nuances of the local real estate market at a block-by-block level. She saved us a lot of time by visiting houses in advance and letting us know which we could skip and which were a must-see based on our preferences.
